  • Won-Joo Hwang received his B.S. and M.S. degree in Computer Engineering from Pusan National University, Pusan, Republic of Korea, in 1998 and 2000. And he received the Ph.D degree in Information Systems Engineering from Osaka University Japan in 2002. Since September 2002, he has been a associate professor at the Department of Information and Communications Engineering, INJE University, Gyeongnam, Korea, heading the Computer Networks Laboratory (CNL). Professor Hwang has been a Visiting Scientist at School of Interdisciplinary Computing and Engineering (SICE), University of Missouri at Kansas City (UMKC), U.S.A. (Uomoto International Scholarship; Jan. 2002-Apr. 2002), Department of Computer Science and Intelligent Systems, Osaka Prefecture University (Follow-up Research Fellowship; June 2009-Aug. 2009) and Network Architecture Group, National Institute of Information and Communications Technology (NICT), Japan (NICT Foreign Researcher Invitation Program; Sep. 2009-Mar. 2010).

  • His research interest includes network optimization, wireless networks and Future Internet architecture. Professor Hwang has served as board member of the Korea Multimedia Society (KMMS) for a number of years He has won serveral conference Best Paper Awards. And he was the recipient of the Korean Government Scholarship, Ministry of Education (Apr. 2000-Mar. 2003).
